Våren

– A story about the Arab Spring

Choreographer Anisa Abas has been inspired by the events during the Arab Spring to create a performance that shows glimpses of what it’s like to live in a society without freedom, democracy or justice. The performance depicts how the rebellion started and how it develops into the biggest revolution in North Africa in modern time. Våren shows young people who dream of freedom and begins with the story of Bouazizi whose actions in 2010 became a catalyst for the Tunisian revolution and the starting point of the Arab Spring.
